Message from Mark
"Over the next few days I will be lining up meetings with the serving PCC, Martyn Underhill and Chief Constable James Vaughan in order to get some ground truth as to the state of policing in Dorset.
It will be a strange campaign due to the restrictions on meetings, so please keep an eye on the social media feeds for updates. You can find out more information on my website - https://mark4dorset.org.uk
My role as PCC is to be your bridge to how your police force is funded and how policing priories are set, so please use the various channels to let me know your view. As we move through these next 8 weeks please take time to register for your postal vote if not done so already, as polling day is likely to be slow at stations due to Covid restrictions. Help to register is available here - https://www.libdems.org.uk/postal-vote/"

What is the role of the Police and Crime Commissioner
The role of the PCC's is to be the voice of the people and hold the police to account. They are responsible for the totality of policing.
PCC's aim to cut crime and deliver an effective and efficient police service within their force area.
PCC's have been elected by the public to hold Chief Constables and the force to account, effectively making the police answerable to the communities they serve.
We need your vote
You can vote on the BCP website for Mark to be the next Police Crime Commissioner in your area.
