CHRISTCHURCH TOWN COUNCIL - BY ELECTION JUMPERS AND ST CATHERINE'S WARD.

Following the recent resignation of Conservative Councillor, Fred Neale, there is a vacancy on Christchurch Town Council for his seat in the Jumpers and St Catherine's Ward in north Christchurch. A by-election has now been called and voting will take place on Thursday 22nd July.
We have been very fortunate in being able to attract a good candidate to represent the Lib Dems in this election who has now passed our Approval and Selection processes. Our candidate's name is Carina Gordon and she is currently a full time mother of two school age children and living in Fairmile Road in Jumpers. Nominations for the vacancy close at the end of this week and we will be commencing her campaign the following week.
Any support for her campaign whether in canvassing, leaflet delivery in the area or financial contributions would be very welcome. Any Member or Supporter wishing to help in any way should contact me in the first instance, either through this e mail or my personal e mail, [email protected]. The Liberal Democrats recent success in Chesham and Amersham has proven what a concerted and energetic campaign can produce even in Conservative heartlands such as ours. So, with your support we believe we can have another good swipe at the Tory blue wall, albeit within the somewhat smaller theatre of Christchurch Town Council.
